Genre and Artist Mood Board
In the above word bubble, I have created a wide range of words to describe how we want our artist's brand to appear or the qualities needed to be the artist we want to represent. Some examples of the words we have used is 'edgy' as we feel like having an edgy style will link well to the alternative genre of music.
Another word I chose to include was 'unique'. This is because our artist being different from anything else currently in the industry means that she will stand out and thus become more popular. Being unique is a great think as it means you are challenging current conventions in music and expanding the boundaries to create.
The word 'young' is included as, using the uses and gratification model, an audience watch what appeals to them or what they can identify with. Therefore when our target audience watch the video (who are young too- aimed at ages 16-23) they are more likely to connect with an artist just like them and of a similar age. This is why we felt it was important to select and artist around 17-18 years old.
